My first custom order where I could not do fittings, as the customer lived too far away. I’m super proud of these pants. They turned out perfect!

This customer of mine is actually quite close to me, and gave me explicit permission to use her photos on my website and social media. I spent about a month this year living with her and helping her and her husband as they get on in age.

This customer also has some special needs when it comes to her clothing, which I was more than happy to help with.

1. She lives in Florida, where it is much warmer year-round, therefore she needed a fabric that was light and airy and would not cause her to overheat.
2. Her weight was fluctuating, so she needed the pants to be adjustable. The waistband is elastic, so if she gains weight, the pants will still fit. And there is a slight opening on the inside of the waistband as well, to make taking in the elastic easier.
3. She is mostly blind, so to help her distinguish back from front, I put in a bright, colorful label.
